Portrait of a Foot Soaker: Henry and Kim Mancuso

We hope you have been enjoying our featured guests on the blog. We have been truly enjoying getting to know our guests on a more personal level. This next one we are highlighting Kim and Henry in our Portrait of a Foot Soaker series! This sweet couple makes coming to Wake a priority. They treat their visits with us as a special ritual with wine and our most decadent package. They also request two of our beloved massage therapists and have their own mini zen party in the sanctuary. We love when they arrive at the shop because they light up the place with their warm personalities. Read on to learn how Kim and Henry practice self-care outside of Wake.

What kind of work do we do?

Henry’s retired and Kim’s a Director of Supply Chain and works mostly from home.

What are your favorite activities?

We do Yoga 3 times a week, yard work, walking, and woodworking.

Who do you got to when having a bad day?

Kim talks to her sister and me. Her sister listens and I make her laugh. Henry generally doesn’t have a bad day but can vent to Kim when necessary.

What is your guilty pleasure for me-time?

Our monthly ritual at Wake Foot Spa with Kelly and Kelie and occasionally a full body massage.

Are there any spots around town that you find yourself drawn to when you need a mental break?

Battery Park Book Exchange and Champagne Bar, Grove Park Inn on the Sunset Terrace. Also, walking around downtown Asheville.

Thank you, Kim and Henry for your continued support of Wake Foot Sanctuary and for letting our guests have a glimpse into your life. We appreciate all our guests and look forward to featuring another portrait of another guest soon. If you would like to share your favorite ways to rejuvenate leave it in the comments below!
