How about a mid-winter pick-me-up in the form of healthy brownies that taste like a Snickers bar? Uh, yes of course? Often, we deprive ourselves of a sweet treat because of the calorie or sugar count. However, there is no saying no to these sweet treats that we are going to share with you. Sharing is caring and this dessert is rich, decadent and hits all the bells and whistles of a snickers bar without all the sugar and processed ingredients. We only use clean ingredients in this recipe and you won’t believe that there is nothing to feel guilty about while enjoying these gooey treats. Draw a nice hot bubble bath and whip up a batch of these babies to enjoy while your troubles melt away.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until smooth. Spread evenly on a lined 9×13 or 8×8 pan and bake for about 10-15 minutes until center is set. Do not over bake. Let cool completely. Then make the nougat.
In a small bowl, combine the ingredients and mix until smooth. Drop teaspoon-fulls of the nougat evenly on the cooled brownie base.
Combine all ingredients into a food processor or high power blender and blend until completely smooth.
Spread caramel sauce over the nougat. Sprinkle with ¼ cup of chopped peanuts or other preferred nut. You can even leave them out all together.
Melt the two ingredients over low heat in a small saucepan. Stirl while melting to prevent clumping or sticking. Once completely melted continue to stir until smooth. Pour chocolate over the caramel and spread evenly with a spatula. Cover pan with aluminum foil and place pan in freezer for about a half hour to set. Cut into squares and enjoy![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
