Cue Some at Home Self Care Moments

While we have so loved serving our treasured foot soakers as they have rejoined us for re-opening, we also understand that not everyone is ready for the full spa environment just yet. Just as we try our best to practice self-care for ourselves in order to serve you better, we wanted to share a few staff tips from the Wake Foot Sanctuary locations in our recent blog to help you do the same!

Self-Care Tips from Our Staff

Below are some helpful self-care tips and tricks from the staff at Wake Foot Sanctuary.

Stay Hydrated
Water helps carry nutrients and oxygen to your cells. It protects and cushions your vital organs.  It removes waste from your body. It regulates your body temperature, and it helps convert food into energy.

Make a Date with Yourself for a Homemade Facial Night Each Week
I love to mix Manuka Honey with French Green Clay to make a mask and let it sit for 20 minutes. I mix in a proportion to make a thick paste. The Clay draws out impurities in my pores and the Honey prevents my skin from overdrying but also provides antimicrobial properties that I feel the benefits of visually for several days after my mask. Once I finish with that I apply anti-aging serum and use any leftovers on my hands to show them some extra TLC.

Freeze a Tennis Ball or Water Container at Home
Make for a great soothing at-home foot roller massage treatment

Keep a Gratitude Journal
I write 5 things I am grateful for every day.

Do a Mini 5-10 Minute Guided Meditation Every Morning
I follow it by a 5-10 min stream of consciousness journaling.

Get a Monthly Manicure
I pop some champagne with my buddy Michelle!
