Jasmine Oil: The King of Flowers

Here at Wake, we get giddy over the essential oils we use in our soaks. We believe in their therapeutic properties that really enhance your experience, as you kick back, relax and enjoy a little aromatherapy with your foot soak. One of the essential oils we use here is Jasmine oil. You will know it immediately as you inhale that unmistakable rich, intoxicating and euphoric scent.

Here are some little tidbits about Jasmine and how it can benefit you:

Jasmine is known as the “King of Flowers” as it exudes an alluring mystique and heavy floral scent.

There are many varieties of Jasmine and not all of them have a scent!

The plant produces creamy white flowers that only bloom at night and leave a seductive sweet scent that is also known to be used as an aphrodisiac.

The flowers actually need to be harvested at night right before sunrise to maximize the fragrance when producing the oil.

It takes more than 10 pounds of Jasmine flowers to make one 5-ml bottle of Jasmine absolute.

Jasmine’s scent is known to help with depression as it stimulates the release of serotonin which results in an increase in energy and uplifted mood. If you are having a rough day, stuck in traffic or feeling anxiety and stress get the best of you, then diffusing jasmine essential oil will help to immediately bring you back to peace and calm. Jasmine oil calms down the body, mind, and soul so it makes an excellent oil you can use to help with insomnia, stress, and anxiety.  It is an excellent use for emotional support.

Jasmine is known for supporting healthy skin. It can help reduce the appearance of skin imperfection and promotes a healthy, glowing complexion. It also helps aid in the healing of minor skin wounds or cuts to prevent infection. Note: always use caution when choosing to apply an essential oil directly to the skin. We recommend mixing a carrier oil like almond or fractionated coconut oil into the essential oil first before application.

Jasmine oil can help prevent internal infections because of its bactericidal, fungicidal, and antiviral properties. It is very effective in supporting spasms related to cough, cramps, congestion or asthma.

You can experience the sexy alluring scent of Jasmine when you choose our Salty Beach Rose foot soak!

As always, be sure to check with your doctor before using any essential oil in your health regimen.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
