What an incredible journey this has been to showcase our cherished guests during Wake’s anniversary month! We have learned that self care is so much more than making time for massage. (Although that can be a big part of it if we don’t mind saying so!) It is really about honoring that sacred you-time and creating boundaries that allow you to do what makes you feel good and nourished no matter what is going on in your life. This edition we met with Dana! This busy mom of 3 really knows how to be a role model as she shares with us her self care practices. She chooses to set aside time, despite her busy schedule, for herself and to do what she loves.
I am a full time stay at home momma of 3- 9yo, 6yo & soon to be 4yo.
I really try to get to my favorite workout class at least 2 times a week. A night out with my husband or girlfriends once a month as well.
Les Mils Body Combat workouts.
I find I have two groups that I lean on the most- my community group from Seacoast church and my fellow mommas from our local MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group.
Of course, a good foot soak is my go-to but I also love a good local craft beer or cider with the girls.
Wake is my number one, the gym, or a good spa for a facial or massage.
Monthly foot soaks, with a long head, neck & shoulder massage paired with a lower leg rub down, a pint or caramel tea, music, and a cozy blanket to curl into! Aaahhhh!!
Thank you, Dana, for your continued support of Wake Foot Sanctuary and for letting our guests have a glimpse into your life. We appreciate all our guests and look forward to featuring another portrait of another guest soon.
