How Wake got its name!
While wrestling with many decisions surrounding the opening of the Foot Sanctuary, there was one decision that came rather easily….the name. My husband and I had been haunted by this idea for the business for several years and when we decided to take the plunge there was a laundry list of decisions to be made, hurdles to overcome, and tons of tons of trial by fire experiences. One decision that involved very little debate was our decision to name the business Wake, after our collie/rhodesian mix. In many ways the name of Wake pays homage to Wake’s personality and many dogs that I know. Love others unconditionally. That is their mantra.
Wake eventually inspired the tag “Wake your feet, Wake your mind, Wake your soul.” which follows various marketing pieces that we do as well, but in the end, I love that dog and he loves everyone he meets. If our goal was to make this business all about caring for and loving others in our Foot Sanctuary, then…it just seemed perfect.
