What Can Charcoal and Shea Do For You?

What Can Charcoal And Shea Do For You?

There are a lot of popular claims to the benefits of activated charcoal, shea, and pumice. We’ve combined them in one locally-made soap to give you the best of all worlds. Below we’ve listed a few benefits!

Charcoal – A current trend and for good reason! Charcoal has been in use for centuries. A claim is that it repairs the balance of skin through detoxification. Skin balancing comes from its ability to absorb and remove impurities, oil, and dirt. Charcoal has been known to be good for acne and blemished skin and known to help with skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. We’ve heard users claim their pores were tightened, unclogged, and skin generally smoothed from the use of this amazing mineral.

Shea – Shea butter is full of vitamins and fatty acids! Check out our whole post dedicated this amazing nut. Shea butter is moisturizing and nourishing. It is said to have anti-inflammatory properties thanks to the cinnamac acid inside. The shea nut is native to Africa and Africans have used the nut for centuries for hair and skin. It has a natural SPF of about 6 and provides nutrients essential for collagen production to help fight redness and wrinkles!

Pumice – Pumice has also been in use for a long time with cosmetics. It’s a natural exfoliant and helps to scrub away dead skin cells to leave skin with a renewed glow.

Combining all these ingredients you can reap the benefits of its use. Safe for the face or body, we suggest using it in the shower and lather up all over! Get scrubbin’, foot soakers!
